Johnson Vision Associates is a primary care optometry practice in Norman Oklahoma. We provide professional services for the determination of refractive error and binocular status, glasses and both conventional as well as specialty contact lenses. Primary care of the eyes is provided consisting of the evaluation of eye wellness, treatment of anterior segment eye diseases, including glaucoma, counseling and post-operative management of cataract, refractive surgery and the evaluation and management of diseases of the retina. Imaging technology via ocular coherence tomography (OCT) and visual field analysis incorporating frequency doubling technology, enable the doctor to screen for and/or evaluate the retina, optic nerve and visual pathway in order to make an accurate and timely diagnosis of the many potential eye diseases and conditions. Dr. Johnson is not an eye surgeon and refers to a small handful of selected eye surgeons, including those at Retina Vitreous Center, Precision Vision, BVA Norman and the Dean McGee Eye Institute, when appropriate. At the current time, Dr. Johnson is the sole doctor in the office and has practiced in the central Oklahoma area since 1984. Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Oklahoma Association of Optometic Physicians. Outside of the practice, Dr. Johnson is a devout Catholic and a worker in the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a passionate fig and hosta gardener and a huge fan of the Pepe del Gado's restaurant, on Campus Corner!
